Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js, Express, Fastify)

About This Role

We're expanding our core engineering team and searching for experienced Senior Backend Engineers ready to architect, scale, and optimize high-performance APIs with Node.js, Express.js, and Fastify.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and Fastify
• Design robust, maintainable backend architecture for modern web and SaaS applications
• Lead integration with MongoDB or PostgreSQL (Prisma/Mongoose)
• Drive API security, scalability, and code performance at scale
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, DevOps)
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers, shaping best practices
• Lead deployment pipelines (Docker, Git, CI/CD) and ensure production-readiness
• Contribute to strategic technical decisions and system design discussions

Requirements

• 4-5 years of proven experience as a backend developer using Node.js
• Deep expertise in Express.js and Fastify
• Mastery of RESTful API design, backend patterns, and authentication (JWT)
• Advanced experience with MongoDB / PostgreSQL and Prisma / Mongoose
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Practical experience with Docker, Git, and modern DevOps tools
• Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills; thrives in an ownership-driven product culture
